From the time he was very young, Clay Brooker has been dreaming of being a country music artist. Growing up listening to artists/bands like Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Jr., Ricky Skaggs, and Lynyrd Skynyrd molded him to be the musician he is today.

At the age of fourteen, he received his first guitar form my parents as a Christmas gift and it didn’t take him long to learn the traditional country music that he loved so much. Shortly after he got the guitar he began writing music and started singing. When he was sixteen years old, he performed for the first time at a family friend’s fish fry and that kicked off the start to “Clay Brooker Music.”

In 2009, he began playing at local restaurants and venues in Alachua County and surrounding areas. Right out of high school he made his first trip to Nashville and had the opportunity to play at venues like The Wheel, The Commodore, and Tootsies Bar.
